Novia Class B-s1,d0 FR Breather Membrane

Product Overview

Novia® FR Roof and Wall Breather Membrane is a Class B-s1,d0* fire rated, high performance, lightweight and versatile breather membrane for all pitched cold and warm roofs, as well as insulated wall applications. Novia® FR Breather is CE marked and meets EN 13859-1 for pitched roofing and EN113859-2 for walls, including high rise applications. Novia® FR Breather has excellent Class W1 water resistance but still provides high breathability. The membrane is made from 2-layer TPU which provides significantly improved UV performance. Novia® FR Breather is completely black on one side, white on the reverse, with no text or images, except for a 150mm overlap line. 

*Valid when fitted to substrates with fire class A2-s1,d0 or A1, with no cavity between product and substrate. Product tested to EN 13501-1.

Novia® FR Breather meets the requirements for CE marking, originally introduced under the 2013 Construction Products Regulations with CE marking. Under this European directive, all products covered by a current hEN (harmonised European Norm) must comply with the new standard. Third party accreditation is no longer sufficient. 

For projects that require a fire rated breather membrane that is suitable for use in open rainscreen facade applications, we also offer Novia® UV Facade FR. It has a Class B-s1, d0 Fire Classification and is suitable for high rise applications. See datasheet for more product specific information.

For projects that also require a fire rated AVCL membrane, we offer several fire rated products. Novia® VariCheck FR is a low cost, Class B-s1, d0 fire rated solution, for use within both standard and high rise constructions where a vapour check membrane is required. For projects that require a enhanced water vapour resistance, we offer Novia® VC4000 FR, which has a Class B-s1, d0 Fire Classification suitable for high rise applications. Alternatively, for projects that require an enhanced AVCL fire rating which complies to EN 13501-1, we also offer Novia® FlamePro A1 FR. It has an A1 Fire Classification and is approved for use in high rise applications. See datasheets for more product specific information.
